Hello everyone! We all face some health issues and gain weight at some point of our life. After having my child I faced some health issues and also gained a lot of weight. Maybe some of you can relate to my story. Sometimes this weight gain goes out of control and might put us in dangerous health problems. If you feel the same, you are not alone and do not worry. The world is not going to end here.

I have some great tips for you to overcome this issue.

What is Overweight?

  • If your BMI shows in between 25 to 29.9 is considered overweight.
  • A BMI of 30 and above is considered obese.
  • Those who fall into the BMI range of 25 to 34.9, and have a waist size of over 40 inches for men and 35 inches for women, are considered to be at especially high risk for health problems.

Why does this overweight happen?

  • When I did not know about Ketogenic Life Style, I was super overweight and did not know why I was overweight or how to overcome it.
  • First of all, this overweight happens because of lack of knowledge of how it is happening like which food we should be eating and what we should avoid, what type of lifestyle we should be following, etc.
  • Also when we are craving sugar and excessive food, the overweight takes place.
  • Lack of rest and constant stressful life can also lead to overweight.

  • Tip 1: Cut down the carbs and sugar, instead put two handfuls of vegetables in your plate. Do not worry about not having carbs in your plate, because the vegetables you are eating have enough carbs for your body.
    • From my previous post you might know carbs break down into glucose and it stores into our body. So when we are eating carbs and sugar these all are storing in our body as fat.
    • Every 1 gram of carb stored in our body also retains 2-3 grams of water.
  • Just reducing carbs and sugar I was able to lose 20lbs in 4 months. I cannot imagine how much weight I was holding by not knowing how to lose this extra weight.
  • After losing weight if you go back to what you are eating like pizza, donuts, chips, you will be back to square one. These are just simple carbohydrates with no nutritional value. So avoid those high in carbs food by any means.
  • You can have some complex carbs when needed like whole grain, fruits and vegetables. Always make sure to read the label and go for low carb, low sugar and good fat.
  • Tip 2: Drink Organic Apple Cider Vinegar before breakfast
    • In a warm glass of water add a pinch of Pink Himalayan Salt (**NOT Table Salt), 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar and 1 tbsp of lemon
    • I always go by Bragg apple cider because they make awesome organic apple cider vinegar and it tastes much better than other vinegars.

  • Tip 3: Do Exercise Everyday
    • We all have some excuses to do daily exercise but it is also important to mobilize our body for good too. If you do not have time to go to the gym or go for a run outside, just turn on any walking videos for 15 mins or turn on any music that inspires you to walk in one place. You do not need a chunk of time to do exercise always. You can find just 15 mins before lunch time or whenever it works for you. Do it and you will feel so good about yourself.

  • Tip 4: Have Enough Sleep
    • Having enough sleep can help to reduce excess weight and it is highly recommended. You actually can burn calories in your deep sleep. It is recommend that we should get seven to nine hours of sleep to burn calories.
  • Tip 5: Release Stress Hormone
    • If you are in so much stress in your life and want to lose weight it might not affect so much in your body because of the stress hormone. I know it is not always easy to stay without stress but do whatever you need to do to release your stress and stay calm to get better result in losing weight.
